DescriptionBlack and white studio photograph of a class at Hickory Grove School. The 27 students and their teacher are organized into four rows. Everyone pictured stands on or in front of a small stand of wooden bleachers, most have their hands hanging at their sides. The girls wear long skirts with blouses or dresses. One girl wears a Girl Scout sash. The boys wear tee shirts or collared shirts with pants. The teacher stands at the right end of the first row. The group is gathered inside in front of a pleated curtain. Museum Label: "1982.20.222" Written in white across the lower edge of the photo: "Hickory Grove, KS. 1951-52"
