The girl sits on a brown wood chair at the left and wears a white dress with a dark-colored pattern. She wears white ribbons in her hair. The girl seated in a chair at the lower right wears a blue plaid dress. Another girl sits on the back side of the table. John Lowry, Ann's brother, is partially visible at the right at the end of the table. All four children wear cone-shaped paper party hats with a red and white candy stripe design. Pink paper cups and plates are on the table. Food is one the plates and one girl is eating. The dining room table is covered with a white tablecloth. The tablecloth has a pattern of red roses with green leaves around the edges. An antique sideboard stands against the wall at the left. The room has a an off-white wallpaper with a diamond-shaped pattern. A framed picture is above the buffet. A tan-colored curtain is partially visible by a window at the extreme right. An multi-colored oval rug is under the table. Museum label: "2007.33.12"

NotesAnn is 3 years old in this photograph. Jack Lowry, the father of Ann and John, is from the Kansas City Area and moved with his wife Catherine to Prairie Village around Thanksgiving in 1957. He worked at the time for Connecticut General Life Insurance Company. He left his job there in 1961 and worked for another insurance company that eventually became Principle Financial Group. He worked there until 1994, when he retired. 1957-1961 circa lived at 7101 Roe, Prairie Village 1961circa-1964 They lived at 4117 72nd Ter, Prairie Village 1964 to April 2005 They lived at 3904 W 93rd Street, Prairie Village May 2005 to Present, 8900 Delmar Street, Prairie Village
